The Truth is Surfacing about Philip Rivers

Since he began in the NFL in 2004, Philip Rivers has been touted as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.  His numbers reflect that, having the 3rd highest passer rating of all-time for QB's with at least 1500 passing attempts.

However, even while he was in college, I said that he could never win a Super Bowl.  He lacks the "it" factor, not to mention he throws like I do with my left hand (and I'm right-handed).  I would say he throws like a girl, but that is insulting to girls.

Now in his eighth year in the NFL (and still no Super Bowl ring), what was obvious from day one is coming out in full force.  The past few weeks of the NFL season have showed what he is capable of.  From the dropped snap that led to the overtime lost to the Kansas City Chiefs (or should I say "Chefs"... oogly boogly).

Once again, on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders on November 7, 2011, he choked repeatedly.  What was classic Philip Rivers, was when he threw in to double coverage (for the billionth time) to Vincent Jackson at the end of the first half.  Jackson couldn't seem to locate the ball and the pass was almost intercepted by the Raiders.  In classic fashion, the next camera shot showed Rivers who clearly appeared to be upset at his receiver, Jackson, for apparently not making an effort to go after the ball.  Yeah Rivers, it was Jackson's fault that you chucked the ball a thousand feet in the air into excellent double coverage, while drawing rain in the process, and didn't get the touchdown.

Man up... it was your fault and you are not nearly as good as you think you are.  Don't believe me... Have Philip Rivers contact me when his career is over and tell me how many Super Bowl rings he has.  Last time I checked, Eli Manning, who was part of the famous trade in 2004 when the two were drafted, got one very early in his career.  I am 41 years old and way past my prime and I GUARANTEE I can throw a football faster, farther and more accurate than Rivers can.  He should be grateful he is in the NFL making millions, because doesn't have the "it", the arm or the smarts to justify blaming his teammates for his inadequacies.
